Ads Everwhere / Security Risk?

The interface was not bad for quick easy access to email, but the ads were really obnoxious. After giving this ap my email address and password I checked my gmail account a few hours later. Coincidence or not, but my email had been hacked. Gmail showed that a type of device that I don’t own had been used to login to my account.

Coincidence?
